How to Win At Bingo
Posted on 12. Jan, 2009 by admin.
Bingo is a very popular game that is played in most towns and community centres across Europe, the UK and the US. Since it is a game that is best played with a lot of other people, it is usually characterised as a way of people meeting up to spend some time together.
A Bingo card has a grid pattern on it with numbers printed in rows and columns. These numbers are printed randomly, and every card has a different pattern. However, the first column usually has numbers from the 1 to 15, the second from 16 to 30, the third from 31 to 45 and so on till 75. Each column has five numbers in it from the range that belongs to it. This makes it easier to find a number on your card when it is called.
Since you can choose to have multiple Bingo cards; it is a good idea to choose from one to three depending on your skill level. This is completely a game of chance since you cannot control which number is called next, but as most rookie mistakes are what cost people their wins, we will tell you how to avoid some of them.
Make sure you keep your mind focused. The easiest and the worst thing to do is to lose track of which numbers have been called. For instance, you should have all your cards in front of you in a manner where you can see all the numbers on them clearly. When a number is called, don’t waste your time looking for it all over the card, instead go directly to the column that contains that range (for instance, the number 7 will always show up in the first column). Do not get distracted, and make sure you mark every number as it is called. As soon as your card is filled, put your hand up and yell “Bingo”.
With just these few tips you can significantly increase your chances of winning Bingo next time you call in to your community centre.
